Short Bio

I am a Doctoral Researcher at the DFG-funded graduate school (KD²School) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Petra Nieken. I hold both a M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from KIT.

Research Interests

My research interests are in experimental and behavioral economics, with a focus on information economics and signaling. I study how technological environments alter the nature of signaling by weakening traditional links between observable signals and underlying characteristics, thereby changing the trade-offs individuals face when representing themselves.

Work in Progress

  • "Strategic Identity Signaling: The Cost of Misrepresenting Identity" Joint work with Petra Nieken & Matthias Unfried Methodology: 2x2 between-subjects laboratory experiment investigating psychological vs. financial switching costs in signaling games. (Status: Preregistration; Experimental design finalized).
